Today marked the conclusion of the transformative 2-day training for Quantity Surveyors, organized by the NIQS FOUNDATION at the Federal Ministry of Housing and Urban Development. This initiative brought together Quantity Surveyors across the board, both in-person and virtually, under the theme: “Integrating Sustainable Practices, Cost Efficiency, and Digital Innovation: Advancing Quantity Surveying for Future-Ready Infrastructure.”

Our focus today delved deep into two critical modules that shape the future of infrastructure development:

Module 2: Cost Management and Life Cycle Analysis in Infrastructure Projects

Expertly led by QS Chijioke Michael Iwuagwu, MNIQS, this session provided invaluable insights into managing costs and optimizing the life cycle of infrastructure, ensuring sustainability and efficiency at every stage.

Module 4: Construction Contracts and Risk Management Techniques

QS Adebowale O. Oyinleye, FNIQS, took participants through comprehensive strategies for navigating construction contracts, identifying risks, and deploying mitigation techniques, vital for the seamless execution of projects.

As the training concludes, we are confident that the participants are now better equipped with cutting-edge knowledge to lead the charge in delivering future-ready, sustainable infrastructure.

The energy, commitment, and enthusiasm displayed by everyone—both physically and virtually—were truly inspiring!
