Kick-off of the NIQS FOUNDATION CSR Capacity Building Training for Quantity Surveyors!
Today marked an impactful Day 1 of the NIQS FOUNDATION Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Capacity Building Training for Quantity Surveyors, hosted at the Federal Ministry of Housing and Urban Development, with Quantity Surveyors from across the nation joining us for this transformative program titled: “Integrating Sustainable Practices, Cost Efficiency, and Digital Innovation: Advancing Quantity Surveying for Future-Ready Infrastructure.”
In a remarkable show of engagement, dedicated Quantity Surveyors participated in-person, with other professionals joining virtually. Together, we embarked on a journey to advance skills, empower innovation, and align Quantity Surveying with sustainable, future-ready practices.

Today’s sessions were nothing short of enlightening! We dived deep into two pivotal modules:
Module 1: Building Information Modelling (BIM) for Quantity Surveyors
Led by QS Chijioke Michael Iwuagwu, MNIQS, this module demystified BIM and its transformative potential for Quantity Surveying. Participants gained insights on using BIM to enhance project precision, foster collaboration, and deliver more sustainable, efficient infrastructures. A game-changer for modern QS professionals!
Module 3: Sustainable Construction and the Role of Quantity Surveyors Facilitated by QS Adebowale O. Oyinleye, FNIQS, this session emphasized how Quantity Surveyors can drive sustainability in construction. QS Oyinleye shared practical strategies and case studies that highlight QS’s crucial role in reducing environmental impact and promoting resource-efficient practices. A call to action for QS to lead the way in green building!
Today’s session has set a strong foundation for the innovative and sustainable Quantity Surveying practices of tomorrow.
