Today, the National Association of Northern Nigerian Students (NANNS) paid a high-impact courtesy visit to the Director General of the NIQS Foundation, marking a significant moment of collaboration and shared vision.

Led by the dynamic President of NANNS, Abdulrahman Ibrahim, and representatives from notable universities across Northern Nigeria, the delegation engaged in enriching discussions on advocacy, sensitization, and driving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) that matter most to our nation’s progress:

– SDG 1: No Poverty

– SDG 3: Good Health and Wellbeing

– SDG 4: Quality Education

– SDG 5: Gender Equality

– SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth

– SDG 9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure

– SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities

– SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities

– SDG 12: Responsible Consumption and Production

– SDG 16: Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions

– SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals

The conversations were electric, exploring how undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctorate students from across Nigeria can strategically tap into national and international programs, policies, innovations, trainings, workshops, and opportunities. Together, we highlighted practical avenues for leveraging the SDGs to fuel national development and build stronger bridges for collaboration between the NIQS Foundation and NANNS.

The meeting culminated in a heartfelt moment: the presentation of a Meritorious Award as a Beacon of Excellence to the visionary Director General of the NIQS Foundation, QS Dr. Celestina Nkechi Eke, PhD, FNIQS, FICIArb, mni.
